Clean Green Power Machines

We’ve finally launched the second Sunrise campaign, promoting a new power line which will bring clean energy to San Diego by linking its power grid to energy stations in the desert powered by Solar, Wind & Geothermal. Methane too, but we don't talk too much about that. Methane's not so sexy.

In each of the spots, a slightly off-kilter contestant pitches their whacked-out alternative energy solution in an American Idol type competition, showing just how sensible the current proposed renewable energy solutions are by comparison.

Here's a link to the spots. You can vote for your favorite. Vote early. Vote often.

"We did really well at our school science fair. C+ we got!"

"I've got three words for you: Weasels... On... Treadmills."

The legendary Jim Orr (no, not the one who beat Farrah Fawcett) did the cinematography. Nice work, and in focus I might add. In addition to directing, I edited the spots (along with the multi-talented Matthew Chilelli who also wrote the music for the Weasels spot)

If you missed the first campaign, launched late last year, you can still check them out. We busted all 3 of these out in just a week. As you might expect, the quality varies, but one, maybe even two, kind of kick ass.

And for all you furry, tree-hugging, hemp and granola eaters out there... and you know who you are... there's more green projects to come. Stay tuned.
